​Mission
NMBO mission is to provide innovative comprehensive, culturally sensitive services to positively impact the lives of youth and families. NMBO has worked in the public housing communities for over 10 years.

History
NMB was created March 2010 as a basketball and tutoring program. Over the years NMB has shifted to meet the overall needs of youth in Alachua County, through sports, mentoring, tutoring and other resources.
Our Why
NMB stands for Nettie Mae Berry. Ms. Berry is the CEO, Tandra Simmons grandmother who raised her. Tandra understands how vital it is to have someone in your corner to motivate and inspire you. To honor her grandmother, Tandra makes it her mission to give back, empower, and assist youth with resources to help them reach their greatest potential. NMB strongly stands on the core value of integrity and instills the importance of upholding integrity in every aspect of life.
​Mentoring

NMB implements an afterschool program for youth residing in Tiger Bay Apartments. The agency has partnered with Gainesville Housing Authority in Alachua for several years to provide programs which will increase participants' academic and social performance.
